OMG! art and veggie?

I have this really close friend i have back at home who shares the same appreciation and passion for art with me, well actually i must say he's even more passionate about it than me that he would often times send me links and pictures of artworks that he find interesting. Whether it maybe things he saw off the internet or pictures of the actual artworks he has seen. One in particular is the art gallery he and his friends discovered on their out of town trip in Baguio, a beautiful city situated on top of a plateau. The name of the place is Oh My Gulay!(gulay meaning vegetable). Owned by an artist name Kidlat Tahimik, Oh My Gulay is an art gallery and a restaurant as well who serves vegetarian food. Quite an odd combination eh? Oh My Gulay has now become one of the popular attractions in Baguio not only because of their good food but also because of the remarkable artworks that are displayed, even the interior of the place is an artwork itself. And for me the thing that makes it even more special is the dedication and passion of the local artists which is reflected in the place. I would definitely love to experience not only an awesome treat for my palate but most importantly a unique artistic sight as well.

Get on the LRT!

Well skytrain as you might call it here in vancouver, but back where im from we call it LRT or Light Rail Transit.
I was on my way home on the skytrain coming from friday class when i remembered the first time i took transit by myself back in the Philippines...accidentally. My dad wanted to teach me how to commute to school faster by just taking the train instead of going through hustles of traffic. So he took me one day before going to school. We arrived at the station just as the doors was about to close so my dad and i rushed in and tried to still make it. I managed to get in but then the doors closed just before my dad was about to get in. The train left leaving my dad at the station and me alone inside the train, well not really alone because the train was literally packed with people because of the morning rush. I was so scared that i might miss the stop, you could really see it in my face that even the people beside noticed how nervous i am that they even offered me a seat! I eventually managed to get off at the next stop then waited for my dad there. From then on, i was able to take transit every single day by MYSELF.
